In October of 2008, the New York State Department of Transportation released a draft regulation restricting truck access in Central New York. This was purely in response to community complaints of truck traffic in their town. Nearly every major business group across New York State has joined together to oppose the NYS Department of Transportation’s proposal to restrict truck access.

The coalition is prepared to bring this issue to court if the State chooses to enact the proposed regulations. Your donation to this effort would be greatly appreciated! All donations will be deposited into a dedicated legal fund and used exclusively for legal expenses related to this issue. While the communities who have pushed for these restrictions claim their concern is with trash haulers, the reality is that these restrictions will impact all trucks regardless of what they are hauling, which means higher prices for nearly everything you use.
